Travel Troopers

Spiti is my most awaited trip for me, and I joined the 13 August batch for 8 days my
experience about spiti with travel troopers is actually worst. I always believe that what happens to you in life is for a reason and gives you learnings. But this trip gave me the experience that never trust the reviews. Some people are giving 5 stars literally if u ask them a single question about the places in spiti they don’t know the answer and experience of the trip. I am a solo girl traveller with this group, but frankly speaking this group makes me feel like everyone is a solo traveller even trip captains too because they don’t make the proper introduction for the group, and the bonding of the group is missing they are actually there for his own enjoyments they break the group in 3 parts and not covered many places which are actually beautiful and even made commitments every morning that we are going to visit these places today and make lame excuses in the late evening wasting lot of time in nonsense things. They also told us that we will have a bonfire in Kaza but again false commitment as usual. They do partiality with everyone, everyone is paying the same amount everyone has a right to have the same facilities but they don’t give they provide different hotels it’s ok to provide different breakfast for different groups it’s not ok. Trip captains are relaxing and always the late comers wasted a lot of time, captains don’t have the knowledge about anything like a place we are visiting, the time for reaching the place, the condition of the place, do’s and don’ts of the place feeling like they are also travelling for the first time. The behaviour of the trip captains are so unprofessional that they don’t even know how to talk to the person who is travelling with them, the importance of time we anything like a place we are visiting, the time for reaching to the place, the condition of the place, do’s and don’ts of the place feeling like they are also travelling for the first time. The behaviour of the trip captains are so unprofessional that they even though I don’t even know how to talk to the person who is travelling with them, the importance time we took out for the trip and we stuck in the landslide in Tabo they are not providing the basis needs and safety about anyone they are so self obsessed they were thinking about their own fun and they told us to carry some basic important medicines but they don’t have that too. The instructions they are giving us to follow they are not following it. And in case of an emergency, they are like you have to manage on your own they don’t have that local contacts as well to hire a taxi for anyone in case of emergency. It’s a No from my side for anyone to go with travel troopers, because of a money minded attitude. Everyone earns but not at the cost of life. Even 1 star is also good enough to give it should be negative.

I have done Winter Spiti with traveltroopers Nov-Dec 2023.
I am keen to share my experience with them.
Pros :
1. Only one thing was good that was Captain Pramjeet . That’s it. !

Cons :
1. Major trust issues- they make fake promises on call. I talked to them on call before selecting them about each hotel and homestays . They attend my calls each time and they even call me numerous times as a reminder to pay them for booking. Bt after payment was done they don’t even pick you calls. Your are gone case for them.

2. Fake promises- my biggest tick off was the fake promises they made when i asked them about the homestays and warm water supply in washrooms. As i contacted a lot of travel partners before selecting Traveltroopers, most of them said that no hotel will be provided only homestays and at few homestays u even have to share common washrooms. On the contrary, I asked the same to Traveltroopers, they royally lied that no this will not happen , we will provide you the best of the homestays and hotels with individual washroom along with running water supply. You won’t believe nothing if that happened !!. They send the list of hotels n homestays and our stay was not in them . All were homestays with common washroom sharing. No running water. Only 1 bucket of water provided, that too we had to lift by ourselves most of the time.

3. Lies continue- In the list, there were 3 hotels mentioned all were nice. I have checked before confirming them. Bt what they did once we reach there… there was a narrow lane of house and inside there was a small house with few rooms. They made was stay there 3 days…. bloody 3 nights without running water in washrooms forget abt hot water supply. I got furious because i had a word before going there still they did this. No one attened my call. Instead they conveyed msg from Captian that this is the only stay we have got u have to stay here !!! Wow ! Brilliant!!!!
When i asked the owner of homestay at kaza they confirmed that for last 13 trips ,all the guests by traveltroopers stay here only …. How come they made fake itinerary if they have given only that perticular homestay to their guest which doesnt exist in their itienary . What a crap !!!!

4. Not a single adjustment was done by them no matter how much i tried calling. They successfully ruined my winter Spiti Expedition which was my first ever visit to Spiti.

I am not a fan of big hotels or feasibilities….. bt atleast i should be prepared for this . If a person have to stay without running water in flush tank also….. only 1 bucket which can had to lift and use for washroom forget abt cleaning face or taking bath…. they should have atleast spoken truth. I should have mentally prepared for that. Then i would not have been that troubled. I ignored other travel partners because of their promises.
Last time i went Leh Ladakh with “WanderOn ” they are amazing . I igonred this time jst because they told truth that running hot water supply will be provided bt for limited time u have to get ready by that time because of severe cold conditions over there. And guess what , we found Wanderon group there… they were getting best of the homestay with running hot water in washroom for particular time as they mentioned earlier…
And to that Traveltroopers were saying k mausam achha nai h isliye nai h pani… bullshit !!! No snowfall in kaza nothing….still this lame excuse. No compensation no actions were taken.

I will never suggest TT to anyone in my known.
I am attaching the screenshot of promises and pics of so called hotel they provide in Kaza for 3 days which was not mentioned in itinerary……… atleast call it homestay by u were calling it hotel i didn’t understand………
