    Rupin Pass Trek: Detailed Itinerary

    Day 1: Shimla to Jiskun (198 km, 9-10 hours)

    • Enjoy a scenic drive from Shimla to Jiskun, a charming village in Himachal Pradesh.
    • Early start ensures enough rest for tomorrow's adventure and avoids unpredictable mountain roads.

    Day 2: Jhaka (2,750 m) (6-7 km, 4-5 hours)

    • Trek through dense forests and traditional villages.
    • Cross a wooden bridge and ascend towards Jhaka.

    Day 3: Dhanderas Thatch (3,566 m) via Saruwas Thatch (3,280 m) (11-12 km, 8-9 hours)

    • Descend to a beautiful blue river, then encounter snow patches and bridges.
    • Hike through vibrant rhododendron forests and colorful meadows.
    • Reach Dhanderas Thatch, offering stunning views of the Rupin waterfall (your campsite).

    Day 4: Rest Day at Dhanderas Thatch (optional)

    Relax and acclimatize to the higher altitude after yesterday's long trek.

    Day 5: Upper Waterfall Camp (4080 m) (4 km, 3 hours)

    • Relatively short but exciting trek to the top of the Rupin waterfall.
    • Cross streams, traverse snow patches, and reach the Upper Waterfall Camp with breathtaking mountain views.

    Day 6: Rupin Pass (4657 m) & Ronti Gad Camp (4005 m) (8-10 hours)

    • Early start for a challenging day with incredible rewards.
    • Ascend the steep Rati Pheri, offering panoramic views.
    • Traverse vast snowfields with proper snow equipment provided.
    • Conquer the narrow and steep Rupin Pass gully, adorned with prayer flags.
    • Celebrate reaching the pass with breathtaking vistas.
    • Descend through snow chutes for a fun glissade to Ronti Gad Camp, nestled amidst towering mountains.

    Day 7: Sangla Valley (2675 m) & Shimla (2276 m) (13 km trek, 5-6 hours + 7 hours drive)

    • Catch glimpses of the Kinner Kailash range and reach Sangla Kanda village.
    • Trek through blue pine forests, terraced farms, apple orchards, and old stone houses before reaching Sangla.

      • Meals provided throughout the trek, from dinner on Day 1 to packed lunch on Day 8, following the trek menu.
      • Comprehensive first aid kit, including an oxygen cylinder, for emergencies.
      • Inclusion of forest permits and camping charges, up to the amount charged for Indian nationals.
      • Provision of dome tents on a twin-sharing basis, along with sleeping bags and mats.
      • Necessary trekking gear such as micro-spikes, gaiters, and helmets provided as required.
      • Experienced team comprising a trek guide, cook, helpers, and porters to assist with carrying common supplies.
      • Lead by a Mountaineering course certified Trek Leader with First Aid certification and specialized rescue training from NIM, Uttarkashi.

      What's not included:

      • Personal bags portage during the trek is not included.
      • The cost of any type of travel insurance is not covered.
