    Rupin Pass Trek Itinerary

    Day 1: Dhaula (1,555m)

    Arrive at Dhaula, a beautiful village located at the starting point of the trek.
    Spend the night at a cozy homestay and enjoy a relaxing evening.
    Attend an introduction session where you'll meet your guides and learn about the trek.

    Day 2: Dhaula to Sewa (1,920 m)

    Today's trek follows the Rupin River, offering scenic views of the surrounding valley.
    The trail gradually ascends towards Sewa.
    Enjoy a delicious lunch and overnight stay at a homestay in Sewa.

    Day 3: Sewa to Jhaka (2,652 m)

    The trail enters a dense forest, providing a welcome change from the open fields.
    Stop for lunch at Jiskoon, a small village nestled amidst the mountains.
    The trail narrows as you approach Jhaka, offering challenging yet rewarding sections.
    Spend the night at a homestay in Jhaka.

    Day 4: Jhaka to Saruwas Thatch (3,125 m)

    Today's highlight is the first encounter with the Rupin River, a majestic sight.
    The trail becomes more challenging as you trek over boulders and rocks.
    Set up camp for the night at Saruwas Thatch, a beautiful meadow surrounded by mountains.

    Day 5: Saruwas Thatch to Dhanderas Thatch (3,560 m)

    Get ready for an exciting adventure as you cross a snowbridge on the trail.
    Arrive at the real Saruwas Thatch, a vast meadow offering stunning panoramic views.
    Continue trekking to Dhanderas Thatch, another picturesque meadow known for its wildflowers.
    Spend the night camping amidst the beauty of the Himalayas.

    Day 6: Dhanderas Thatch to Upper Waterfall (4,054 m)

    Start your day with a rejuvenating yoga session at Dhanderas Thatch.
    Attend a morning briefing to discuss the day's plan and safety procedures.
    The trail ascends towards more snow bridges, offering a unique trekking experience.
    Reach the Upper Waterfall campsite, a stunning location beside a cascading waterfall.
    In the evening, learn about essential mountain knots from your guides.

    Day 7: Upper Waterfall to Ronti Gad (4,090 m)

    Today is the big day! You'll conquer the Rupin Pass, the highest point of the trek.
    The trail involves walking on snowfields and a final steep ascent to the pass.
    Celebrate reaching the Rupin Pass, a majestic mountain gateway between two valleys.
    Descend from the pass using the exciting glissading technique.
    Camp overnight at Ronti Gad, a beautiful valley on the other side of the pass.

    Day 8: Ronti Gad to Sangla

    Enjoy the scenic meadows and gentle descents as you leave Ronti Gad behind.
    The final stretch of the trek takes you to Sangla.
    Celebrate completing the Rupin Pass trek and cherish the memories of this incredible adventure.

    Remember, acclimatization is crucial for high-altitude treks like Rupin Pass. Make sure to listen to your body, stay hydrated, and take breaks whenever needed.

    Inclusions & Exclusions

    What's Included:

    • Meals provided as per the trek menu (from dinner on Day 1 to packed lunch on Day 8)
    • Extensive first aid kit, including an oxygen cylinder
    • Forest permits and camping charges, if applicable (up to the amount charged for Indian nationals)
    • Dome tents on a twin-sharing basis, along with sleeping bags and mats
    • Essential equipment such as micro-spikes, gaiters, and helmets as required
    • Support team including trek guide, cook, helpers, and porters for carrying communal supplies
    • Trek leader certified in mountaineering courses, with first aid certification and special rescue training from NIM, Uttarkashi
